This Tuesday’s trip is to Seapoint, Co. Dublin. Seapoint is a traditional swimming spot used by generations of Dubliners over many decades. At the north end of the beach there are a few slipways and steps with hand rails which lead into the water. Seapoint Martello Tower is located at the north end of the beach and was part of a network of 28 sites that were built to defend Dublin from Napoleonic invasion in the early nineteenth century and is a protected structure. The beach has received the International Blue Flag award for 2018.
We will meet at Molloys car park at 7.30pm sharp to carpool if necessary.
