TPS Outing Tuesday 16th August
Hi Folks,
This Tuesday we will be heading to the Phoenix Park for our weekly outing.
The Phoenix Park is a huge park covering 707 hectares and there is plenty to see there. There is the Wellington Monument, the tallest obelisk in Europe, the papal cross which is another impressive structure. There is of course the Aras, home to President Higgins, and many other interesting buildings.
Wildlife in the park include Fallow Deer which roam the park and are quite tame so no need for huge lenses, Woodpeckers have been seen in the woods and there are resident Buzzards & Sparrow hawks. So all in all plenty to see and photograph. The weather forecast is looking good so hopefully there will be a nice sunset.
Meet as usual Malloy’s car park at 7.30.
See you then.
Neil
