TPS Meeting Tuesday, 30th October 2018
This Tuesday is Competition night and we are delighted to welcome Ita Martin as our judge.
Ita is a member of Malahide Camera Club who has a special interest in wildlife photography. She won the IPF Nature Photographer of the Year in 2017. a gold medal for best print on the Nationals Finals in 2017 and a Silver for Projected Natural World Advanced in the Nature Photographer of the Year 2018.
One Shot Competition
The theme for November’s One Shot is “Halloween” and will be judged by last month’s winner Dave Meehan. November’s One Shot will be held on Tuesday 13th November at coffee break. Please bring your images along on USB on the night and give them to Maureen.
For our newer members, the One Shot is a fun, themed competition run every month. The winner of one month sets the theme for and judges the next month’s competition. Only digital images are accepted and must be brought in on the night on USB.
Membership
This Tuesday is the last Tuesday in October and is the last date for payment of Club Fees. If you have not done so already please complete your membership payments on Tuesday. If your fees are not fully paid you will not be eligible to enter in the Monthly League Competitions. As a club we rely on our members fees and the door cover to pay for speakers / judges / insurance / meeting room / IPF affiliation / external club competitions etc., not to mention the tea coffee and chocolate biscuits!!
Podge Kelly Training Day
There’s still time to sign up for the Podge Kelly Training Day on November 10th….The day costs €15 including lunch and needs to be booked and paid for in advance. We will need to send Podge three photos for him to work on for the session. We will send one each from a member in each division. If you are interested in getting one of your photos edited by Podge please give your name at the door at the club this Tuesday. We will put all the names into a hat and pull one for each division. Obviously you have to be attending the day to put your image in!!
