TPS Meeting Tuesday, 29th January 2019
This Tuesday is League Judging night and we are delighted to welcome Suzanne Mc Mahon from Palmerstown Camera Club to judge for us. Good luck to everyone.
The theme for February’s One Shot is “Emotions” and will be judged by January’s winner, Brenda Sheridan, on Tuesday 12th February.
We all know that we have a huge amount of talent in the Club so it’s time to show it off. We started with the exhibition in October and now we are planning on setting up a showcase gallery on our website. The showcase will have two divisions Advanced and Non-Advanced and will have a number of photography categories. We are calling on all members to submit, up to three of their favourite photographs for each category. Categories are as follows:
• Landscape / seascape
• Nature / wildlife
• Portrait / studio / people
• Close-up / macro
• Street / culture / travel / cityscape
• Sports
Photos should be provided, in digital form, on club nights from now until the end of February. Please include your membership number and title in the file name. Photos should be taken within the last two years and you must be a paid-up member to participate. A beginners workshop will be run in Tallaght Library on April 6th from 10am – 4pm by Alice O Brien. Anyone interested can talk to Alice at the club or email info@tallaghtphotographicsociety.com
