TPS Meeting Tuesday 17th Sept

TPS Meeting Tuesday 17th Sept at 8.00pm in the Maldron Hotel, Tallaght.

We would like to say good luck to the four members who are going for their distinctions this Saturday in Waterford. We hope Karl Bergin, Matthew Roche, Paul Maxwell and Justyna Kowaleczko all get their Licentiateship.

This Tuesday coming is get to know your camera night, Eddie Coddy will be showing you what you need to know about your camera. Don’t forget to bring your camera.

Next Tuesday is also the Monthly League entry night.
Members submit up to 3 images for judging, 1 colour print, 1 black & white/monochrome print and 1 digital image.

Prints must be no less than 10 x 8 inches and mounted on mount board no larger than 20 x 16 inches.

The member’s club number, Division, print title and category must be clearly marked on the back of each mounted image (the club will provide labels for this purpose)

All Digital entries must have this information in the file name. (e.g 111001 Novice Shipwrecked Digital image)

Digital images must be no longer than 1024 pixels on the longest side – there is a tutorial for image resizing available on the TPS Website.

Digital images can be sent to info@tallaghtphotographicsociety.com (up 12.00pm on night of entry) or submitted on disc or USB stick on the night. Any late entries will not be entertained.

· All members who enter a colour or a black/white print, we would like a digital copy of your entry. (Email or USB with club number, division and title) Low res copies are grand. This is so we can display the image on the big screen when a judge is giving comments.

Please Note the following:

We would like all members that renew their membership (and any new members)
that you can also give us two photos of yourself included. Face photos
only as one will be used for you membership card and the other for our
records. The photo can be any photo taken of you in the last year or so,
all you have to do is crop it. I have attached an example of our member
John Holmes.
You may bring your photo on the night or you can email then to us. You may
also Dropbox them to me.

Membership renewal forms are attached in a word doc, a jpeg and a pdf,
Please print a membership renewal form and bring it along on the night with
your membership fee.

There is a 2euro door charge for members and non-members which helps to cover
the rent of our room in the Maldron Hotel. All members and non-members must
sign in. A book will be at the door for all to sign.

Parking at the Maldron Hotel

The Maldron Hotel has a free secure underground carpark. You get a ticket
from the machine and the gates will open. When parking please park in the
Hotel parking bays (if you don’t you might get clamped). On leaving please
get your ticket validated from the reception in the hotel lobby.
