Straffan Butterfly Farm, Sunday July 27th
Set your cameras to Macro because this Sunday, we’re exploring the tropical world of exotic butterflies at Straffan Butterfly Farm, Straffan, Co Kildare.
Iris at Straffan Butterfly Farm is very kindly allowing us access to the butterflies at 9.30am. This will give members a good hour and a half to photograph the butterflies in peace before the Farm opens to the public at 11am.
It will mean an early start as we will be leaving Molloy’s car park at 8.30am sharp!
Whatever the weather, inside the Butterfly House is tropical heat so dress lightly. Bring along a packed lunch and something to drink as there is a picnic area at the Butterfly Farm.
Directions:
From Molloy’s, head for the M50. Exit the M50 at Junction 7 for the N4/M4 for Sligo/Galway. Carry on the M4 and take the Maynooth exit and the R406 to Straffan. After about 5km you’ll come to a roundabout – take a right off this roundabout (3rd exit) onto the R4o3. From the roundabout, take the 2nd left turn and carry on until you come to a T junction. Turn right here and the car park for the Butterfly Farm is directly on the right.
See you there 🙂
