Following on from the success of our Zoom meeting last Tuesday, we have asked Joe Houghton to do a talk for us.
He is going to talk to us about Long Exposure and Stacking for light trails next Tuesday at 8pm.
You can see some of his work here: www.houghtonphoto.com
Joe has done this talk for a few clubs and will host this one himself. This time club members will need to register in advance at the link provided by email.
See you online at 8pm on Tuesday!
Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone who joined our inaugural meeting via Zoom last night.
We are in strange times and it was great to see so many taking part and to see that the usual banter and interactions can still take place in a virtual world!! We had 27 members online.
Thank you to Patrick Kavanagh for judging last night, all the way from Kerry!
Thank you to the club members for submitting digital photos for league entry this month. You can view the winning photos on this site here
Look forward to joining club members on Zoom for our meeting next week at 8pm
Hope everyone is staying well and safe.
The proposed format for March’s Monthly League is –
You can enter one mono and one colour digital image.
These will be scored separately as Mono and Colour so in effect we are replacing our printed categories with digital images.
Please email your entries by 8pm on Tuesday 24th March. Usual rules of sizing and naming apply.
If you have any questions get in contact by email.
We will send the images to the judge and will get back you individually with your scores.
Best of Luck to all.
In light of Leo Varadkar’s comments yesterday, we have taken the decision to cancel meetings for the rest of March.
Nearer the time we will review again and let you know what is going to happen in April and onwards.
We will come to a decision over the next week or so re the Monthly League so don’t stop looking at those photos!!
Club members can keep in contact with the committee by email
This week we welcome Barry O’Carroll to the club. Barry is a travel photographer from Dublin specialising in urban and landscape photography. You can see examples of his work at the following link – https://bocphotography.com/
Tuesday is also one shot night, the theme is Urban Decay – the one shot is a themed, fun competition that we run each month. Please bring your entries on the night on USB – emailed entries are not accepted for one shot. The one shot will be judged by last month’s winner, Piotr Rak.
A reminder that there is no meeting on Tuesday 17th March, hand in night will be on Tuesday 24th.
See you all on Tuesday in the Maldron, 8pm sharp.
