Howth Harbour… Take 2 and The Rock of Dunamase

Howth Harbour… Take 2 and The Rock of Dunamase

Next Tuesday, July 1st we will head out to Howth Harbour for our club outing.

Howth Harbour was the proposed outing for this summer’s first outing, but the heavy rain that evening put most of us off from venturing outdoors.  Dun Laoghaire Harbour was the published destination (see Programme) for next week’s outing, but Howth Harbour has more to offer photographically, so weather permitting why not give it another shot?

As usual, we’ll meet at Molloy’s car park and leave for Howth at 7.30pm sharp.

Bring a brolly… just in case 🙂

This Sunday, June 29th we will head out to Co Laois and the Rock of Dunamase for an afternoon outing.  The Rock, 150 feet about the ground has the ruins of the 12th century Dunamase Castle and a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and the Slieve Bloom Mountains to the west.

An early start to avoid tourists, we’ll meet at Molloy’s car park on Sunday morning leaving at 9.30am.  Car parking at the rock is sparse so car pooling will be the best option.  We’ll head for the N7/M7 for Portlaoise and turn off at Exit 16 to get to the Rock.  Hope to see you all there!
