Guest Speaker: Hazel Coonagh – April 12th

Our guest speaker at the Tallaght Photographic Society next Tuesday, April 12th is Dublin based photographer, Hazel Coonagh.  Hazel is a freelance photographer who produces wonderful and creative images including travel and portraiture.  Hazel will talk about her journey through photography and show us some examples of her work.  She will also share with us some of her editing techniques and show us some before and afters!  Visit Hazel’s website Hazel Coonagh Photography for a sneak peek!

Congratulations to Maureen Hastings, the winner of the Movies themed one shot competition with her winning shot “My Left Foot” – we are waiting to hear from Maureen to find out what her chosen theme will be for May’s competition.

Finally, the TPS took part in a fun and thrilling photographic competition against Palmerstown and Clondalkin Camera Clubs hosted by our great friends in Palmerstown.  Judging the entries was the excellent Mark Sedgewick from Celbridge Camera Club.  A close competition from the outset, congratulations go the the winning club, Palmerstown, with the TPS in second place – just one point behind!  The high caliber of images entered from all three clubs just goes to show the huge talent of photographer in our growing community of camera clubs.
