Q1 – How long are you a member of TPS?

I am a member since January 2017

Q2 – Is this your first photography club to join?

This is my first photography club

Q3 – What was your first introduction to photography as a photographer?

my introduction to photography was through a brother-in-law in the late 60s when we set up a darkroom

Q4 – What camera(s) do you shoot with?

I use a Canon 75d

Q5 – Do you have a favourite subject to shoot?

Since joining the club I’ve tried out various genres but I mainly shoot landscapes.

Q6 – Do you have a go to lens to shoot with?

The most frequently used lens is a Tamron 18 – 200 f2.8.

Q7 – Which do you prefer your images to be in colour or black and white and why?

I do most of my photos in colour, although I like the challenge of getting good monochrome. It rather depends on the subject matter.

Q8 – What makes an image stand out for you?

good technical skill and composition.

Q9 – If you were to give yourself one piece of advice if you were starting out all over again. What would it be?

Learn as much as possible about composition, train your eye to see an image within a landscape.

Q10 – If money or travel was no object where in the world would you like to photograph and why?

I’ve always wanted to visit Africa and the Serengeti in particular. Although since joining the club I have seen wonderful images from all over the world
